Titan Feature: Elements

Welcome to our first Titan Feature!

ELEMENTS

In these posts I will be discussing various features of TitanoMachia's unique style & gameplay mechanics; in this first edition we will be discussing how elements will play a vital role in combat, as well as hero design.

Elements cast an important role in TitanoMachia in that every single Titan embodies a unique element. As seen before, Helios is the incarnation of fire, such as it is with Tethys, the Sea Titan, or Ophion, Titan of Earth. One must learn to skillfully harness and manipulate their element in order to be victorious in the Pit of Tartaros. For example, Ophion is able to birth earth elementals from rock to act as his minions, whether to fight on his behalf or to be reabsorbed into his earthen skin as a defense mechanism- however you choose to wield the force of Earth is up to you.

Let's see other ways that the Titans are able to beckon the Elements (subject to change):

Casting Call of Earth upon a rock pillar, Ophion is able to animate the stone to do his bidding:

Ophion is even capable to call forth an army of earthen guardians, which he may absorb into his marl crust, growing in size and further fortifying his defenses:

Tethys is able to summon the tides; casting Call of Water, he commands the sea to wake and surge all around him:

With the waters at his command, Tethys can then launch an awesome watery torrent at his foes, blasting them with the fierceness of the tides.

Keravnos, Sovereign of the Storm, is able to ride the winds, brandishing the madness of the tempest:

Ascending the skies, Keravnos can rain horrible bolts of lightning on his foes, tearing apart the battlefield:

And lastly, as noted in our first ever Titan Reveal, Helios is able to pour molten death upon his adversaries:

Titan Reveal: Helios, The Herald of Flame

I am very proud to announce our very first Titan Reveal:

HELIOS, The HERALD of FLAME

Helios is known as the Herald of Flame (or "the Firebringer"), because he is able to harness the element of fire to pour down wrath on his adversaries. Rousing the fury of the inferno, Helios is capable of devastating landscapes- leaving them utterly torn asunder in his wake.

Let's begin the preview with a look at his current loadout (subject to change):

Call of Fire (Q) draws from the burning flames around Helios to scorch the earth in an area of his choosing, severely burning enemies trapped in the chaos of the flames:

Molten Rain (W) calls the flames forth to lash out at Helios' opponent, torching the victim to ash:

Smelt (E) beckons the fire to Helios, imbuing his hammer Vulcanus with the flame's rage causing Helios' next attack to explode on his victim dealing aoe damage:

Wildfire (R) beseeches the inferno to deliver Helios blazing toward his prey, quickly transporting him along his scorched path:

Volcano (T) summons a massive volcano from the earth to incinerate Helios' enemies, igniting the battlefield causing tremendous aoe damage:

That's it for Helios and for TitanoMachia's first Titan Reveal, check back often for many more exciting announcements and also please be sure to subscribe to this blog!
